BTS member V added another significant record on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.

According to Spotify on the 23rd, V's first solo album "Layover" title track "Slow Dancing" surpassed 500 million cumulative streams as of the 21st. This marks V's third solo track to achieve 500 million streams, following "Love Me Again" and "FRI(END)S." The first to reach that milestone was "Love Me Again," which has now surpassed 1 billion streams.

"Slow Dancing" is a pop R&B genre based on the 1970s soul sound and features a unique atmosphere with jazz elements. The song captivates listeners with V's romantic and laid-back vocals and culminates in an improvisational flute performance in the latter half, embodying the free and relaxed calmness suggested by the title.

Upon its release in September 2023, the song ranked 51st on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 24th on the U.K. Official Singles Chart, gaining global popularity. Notably, it successfully achieved a "double hit" along with the pre-released album track "Love Me Again" and continues to receive love on Spotify.

His album "Layover," which includes "Slow Dancing" and "Love Me Again," has been praised for its focus on V's unique voice and essence, truly centering around V himself. This album reached 2nd place on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart and received the Gold Disc "Platinum" certification from the Japan Record Association in 2024.

So far, V has produced a total of 12 solo songs with over 100 million streams solely on Spotify.
