Director Luca Guadagnino, who garnered the love of Korean fans with 'Call Me by Your Name,' unveiled a sensuous visual starting from the new poster.

On the 22nd, the production team of the film 'Queer' (directed by Luca Guadagnino, distributed by Nuri Pictures) released a character poster showcasing its striking visuals.

'Queer' is a film that portrays the epilogue of a love story that begins when a writer, lost in a life of drug and alcohol abuse in 1950s Mexico City, falls in love with a beautiful young man named Eugene. The released character poster, with a refreshing color palette and a unique composition that harmonizes the characters with the title, captures the film's distinctive emotion and draws attention.

The first poster features Daniel Craig as William Lee standing in front of a small shop in Mexico City. His black shirt, fedora, and neat silhouette convey a heavy presence, leaving a strong impression in harmony with the calm background. His gaze and gesture toward something, along with his slightly bent posture, evoke a subtle tension within his tranquil expression.

The second poster captures Drew Starkey as Eugene Allerton standing on a sun-drenched hill. His shirtless figure in swimwear, holding a camera, exudes a free and cheerful atmosphere. Under the open sky, his gaze into the viewfinder and relaxed posture create a sensuous mood that naturally draws viewers' attention.

The contrast between the two characters placed in different spaces and atmospheres leaves a strong impression and raises curiosity about how they will eventually meet. This character poster, featuring restrained colors and the beauty of empty space, enhances expectations for the film's beautiful visual aesthetics, coupled with the delicate emotions embodied in 'Queer.'

'Queer' is particularly drawing attention as the new work of director Luca Guadagnino, who created the film 'Call Me by Your Name,' which catapulted Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet to stardom. Luca Guadagnino also received praise last year for 'Challengers,' which showcased Zendaya Coleman’s stellar performances.

'Queer' is set to be released in theaters on June 20.
