The group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Dogyum, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) delivered raw fun through a fake documentary.
On the evening of the 21st at 10 p.m., SEVENTEEN posted the main episode of their comeback special "GOING SEVENTEEN" on the team's official social media. This content, which progresses under the premise that the members have been living together for 10 years, evokes laughter with "real tension" captured in vibrant acting.
The video starts with SEVENTEEN in confusion over news of changing the team name to "EIGHTEEN" and altering the members. Opinions diverge with comments like, "Let's follow the company's wishes," "Let's recruit a new maknae," and "I won't change anything," creating a tense atmosphere. Despite the surrounding objections, Hoshi pushes for the new name "Black SEVENTEEN," while Joshua recommends a new member to replace the long-time producer, setting up plenty of comedic surprises.
Jun's strong opposition to the team restructuring causes laughter. He is embarrassed by the suggestion to change the team name, stating he has a tattoo of "SEVENTEEN." The other members, who confirm this in the restroom, exclaim, "Uwa," and "Wow," causing a "brain freeze" moment. Towards the end of the video, the famous "gray towel" episode featuring the "fight story" of Seungkwan and Dogyum is recreated. Dogyum's performance of throwing a towel at Seungkwan, who is irked, raises curiosity about subsequent developments.
Even upon hearing the news of the team restructuring, Seungkwan, who sings to lift the mood, the youngest Dino, who takes care of ordering delivery food, and Woozi, who quietly observes the situation, highlight their real personalities in everyday scenes. Additionally, the space that fully recreates the dormitory from the early days of their debut adds a touch of fun.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is amplifying the excitement for their comeback, set for the release of their regular fifth album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" on the 26th, by releasing various content. On the 28th, the second episode of the "GOING SEVENTEEN" comeback special will be unveiled, and a project titled "Nanaminbak with SEVENTEEN," featuring PD Na Young-seok, will reach global fans through Weverse, tvN, and Disney+ starting from the 2nd of next month.
