'Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2' Jin Seoyeon shares her behind-the-scenes story of walking the path of an actress, piquing the interest of Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube.
The 30th episode of the full-fledged real street food documentary 'Jun Hyun-moo Plan 2' (jointly produced by MBN and Channel S), airing on the 23rd (Friday) at 10:30 p.m., will showcase Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) returning to Gangwon Province with their 'food friend' Jin Seoyeon as they uncover the taste of the 'Poksak' emotional flavor at the Gangneung Kwan-sik's restaurant.
On that day, Jun Hyun-moo, who appeared in Gangwon Province's Gangneung, said, "I want to go to a place like 'Poksak Sogasseuda' (Yang) Kwan-sik's house," and then heads to the freshest restaurant in the world. With excitement about meeting 'realistic Yang Kwan-sik,' the three finally arrive at the restaurant, where the male owner reveals, "I am a fisherman born in this house. I catch (fish) directly from the open sea and sell them," triggering the 'Poksak' emotional explosion. Following this, side dishes of barley mackerel sashimi, rockfish seaweed soup, and various seafood are laid out, prompting Jun Hyun-moo to say, "It's a flex only a fisherman can make," causing his pupils to dilate. In addition, a sashimi platter featuring four types of wild fish, including flatfish, rockfish, and red sea bream, is presented, and the three indulge in a mouthful of fresh food.
During the eating show, Jin Seoyeon reflects on her 17 years since debuting, stating, "I was nameless for 10 years before the movie 'Drug King'" and shares stories from her days as an unknown actress. He continues, "At that time, it was tough to make ends meet, so I never took a break from part-time jobs. I worked at a gas station and even sold sweet rice cakes," which surprised everyone. Moreover, Jin Seoyeon remarks, "When I was a rookie, I ran a shopping mall that did so well, ranking 3rd in the country, with daily sales reaching several tens of millions of won," but added, "Even if I ate a 500-won bread, I had to act," revealing her resolute decision to close the successful shopping mall and pursue her dream, which moved the audience.
In addition, Jin Seoyeon recalls the time when she kept going for auditions, saying, "For the 'Drug King' audition, I went with wet hair and hoop earrings, dressed as the character." As a result of that audition, Jin Seoyeon won the role of 'Boryung' and shares, "During the filming of 'Drug King,' I was determined, thinking, 'If I do this, I'll make it big in Korea,'" explaining the intensity of her performance, which astonished Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube. Jun Hyun-moo cautiously asks, "How did your family react if you played such a intense role?" to which Jin Seoyeon replies, "Originally, 'Drug King' had full nudity. But when my husband read the script, he said, 'That's really cool,' and actively recommended it," delivering a surprising response that left the venue in awe.
As Jin Seoyeon's candid and bold talk continued, the identity of the 'Poksak' emotional Gangwon Province sashimi restaurant will be revealed in the 30th episode of 'Jun Hyun-moo Plan,' airing at 10:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
