The band Cherry Filter directly addressed the controversy that arose at a university festival.
On the 21st, Cherry Filter posted a lengthy message on their YouTube channel, stating, "First of all, I have something I would like to convey to the university peers today, so I’m leaving a small note."
Earlier that day, Cherry Filter took the stage at a university festival, shining alongside Crush, Nell, and Silica Gel.
While they made an appearance amid high expectations, Cherry Filter had to exit the stage somewhat early and could not fill the scheduled performance time. This caused an overall disruption to the event.
In response, the audience in attendance, including students, expressed their dissatisfaction, saying, "We didn’t even get to hear 'Romantic Cat' as an encore song."
In relation to this, Cherry Filter member Yujin explained, "There are always disruptions in plans and communication mishaps when events are being carried out," adding, "Today, a delay occurred in our planned timing, leading to the encoring being cut by the overall event management, which we happily accepted."
Yujin continued, "Of course, I was tremendously disappointed. However, it is a frequent occurrence, and I don't think it's significantly anyone's mistake or fault. Today's stage was passionate and joyful in itself. I wish we could have been together a little longer. I hope to see you all again soon."
Meanwhile, Cherry Filter has recently appeared on KBS2 'The Seasons - Park Bo Gum's Cantabile.' They are scheduled to perform at the 'Sound Planet Festival 2025' in September.
