Former MBC announcer Baek Ji-yeon talked about how she became a kingmaker.

In the special 'Ultimate Champion' episode of MBC's 'Radio Star' aired on the 21st, former MBC announcer Baek Ji-yeon shared her story of acting as a kingmaker.

Baek Ji-yeon said, "The YouTube production team suggested measuring the length of my legs. But they couldn’t air it. They said it turned out too long." Then MC Jang Do-yeon pulled out a tape measure and surprised everyone by revealing that Baek Ji-yeon's leg length is 109 cm.

Baek Ji-yeon shared her tips for growing taller, saying, "It's good to eat well and go to bed early during the growth phase." She attracted attention by mentioning that she met many famous foreign personalities while hosting her talk show named after herself.

Baek Ji-yeon recounted her experience as an ambassador for luxury brand D. She said, "The president of D Korea saw my interview and became curious about what this woman's job is. After he learned about me, he reported to the Asia branch, and it went to the head office in France."

Baek Ji-yeon explained her unexpected trip to France, saying, "I went without knowing anything, and as soon as the plane door opened, the ceremony began. I met with the head office president and we talked for over an hour," adding that a contract was later signed, and she worked for four years. She also mentioned attending a banquet at the Palace of Versailles, highlighting that she felt cold in a thin dress, prompting the president to ask someone to find a shawl, which a staff member cut off and brought back immediately.

Baek Ji-yeon described her role as a kingmaker. She said, "After leaving MBC, I received a lot of offers. I turned down offers from consulting firms and established my own consulting firm. Later, even requests from large consulting firms came in."

Baek Ji-yeon noted, "Later, requests came from presidential candidates. I promised not to participate in political campaigns at all and signed a confidentiality agreement to accept the request. One person from the conservative and one from the progressive side were elected," surprising those around her. [Photo: Capture from MBC 'Radio Star']
