Actor Park Hyuk-kwon publicly supported Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.

On the morning of the 22nd, at the Dongmun Rotary in Jeju City, actor Park Hyuk-kwon, who resides in Jeju, took the stage during the campaign rally for Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.

On that day, Park Hyuk-kwon said, "Hello. I am Park Hyuk-kwon, living on acting," and continuously greeted the audience. He began to speak, saying, "I received a sudden call yesterday and while preparing, I will talk a bit. Recently, things have happened that I never expected or imagined, and I don’t know how time is passing. Even just an hour ago, yesterday's news feels old. So many new things are happening."

Park Hyuk-kwon said, "This happened five months ago. Our soldiers pointed guns at us. Our friends, our juniors, soldiers pointed guns at us. At first, I couldn’t believe what was happening. Later, every time I watched the video, I became so sad that I cried, wondering how our soldiers could point guns at us. I was so sad that I cried," and added, "As time passed, I became exhausted and hoped that June 3rd would come quickly so I could vote and finish it. I thought this, but then I realized that June 3rd is not the end. It's the beginning."

He continued, "Everyone, please don’t get tired. I’m getting tired too and it’s hard to watch the news, but June 3rd is indeed the beginning. The main game hasn’t started yet. In terms of wrestling, it’s just the initial struggle. I know it’s exhausting and difficult, but please don’t get tired while pacing yourselves and enjoying some fresh air."

Park Hyuk-kwon said, "I supported candidate Lee Jae-myung three years ago and received a lot of criticism. I was planning to quickly retire and actively support the next presidential election, but the election has come up too fast. I still need to save a little more money, so I can't retire yet. I think I’ll continue for a few more years," and shouted, "Even if I lose my livelihood, I will support candidate Lee Jae-myung," as he left the stage.

Meanwhile, Park Hyuk-kwon began acting in 1993 as a member of the theater troupe Sanwoolim. Since then, he has appeared in various works as both a lead and supporting actor, including the films "Deja Vu," "The Brothers in Broader Sense," "The Most Beautiful Farewell in the World," "The Client," "Addiction," "Taxi Driver," "Jangsanbeom," "The Girl on the Bulldozer," "Operation Unofficial," "Brave Citizens," and television dramas "White Tower," "Deep-rooted Tree," "Punch," "Six Flying Dragons," "Human Class," "Law School," "Mine," "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate," "Wonderful World," and "Light Shop."
