Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si were captivated by each other's charm.
In the fourth episode of the Genie TV original 'Tastefully Yours' (planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Shortcake, creator Han Jun-hee, written by Jeong Soo-yoon, directed by Park Dan-hee), which aired yesterday (20th), Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul) and Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), who had maxed out their mutual attack power, kissed, leading to a significant change for both of them. As a result, the fourth episode achieved a record high viewership rating of 3.1% nationwide and 2.9% in the metropolitan area, continuing a rising trend (according to Nielsen Korea).
On the day of the Food Festa, Han Beom-woo noticed that the sponsoring corporation had changed to 'Hansang' and instinctively felt that his brother, Han Seon-woo (played by Bae Na-ra), was behind the situation, confronting him directly. In response to Han Seon-woo's belittling attitude, Han Beom-woo provocatively remarked, "If you’re going to sponsor, you might as well increase the prize money," while Han Seon-woo returned the challenge leisurely, leading to an intense psychological duel between the two.
As the prize money increased and the competition intensified, Han Beom-woo's determination to win rose rapidly. Having already pierced through Mo Yeon-joo's culinary philosophy, he showed his dedication by personally sourcing ingredients to persuade her, and he enhanced the menu by adding beef kimbap and jambon gomtang kimbap to the existing carrot kimbap.
From Han Beom-woo's ideas to Mo Yeon-joo's cooking skills, Jin Myung-sook's (played by Kim Shin-rok) proficient support, and Shin Chun-seung's (played by Yoo Soo-bin) promotion, their teamwork led to the historical early closing of the food truck, bringing them closer to winning the cooking competition.
However, the pride of Jang Young-hye (played by Hong Hwa-yeon), who could not afford to lose to Mo Yeon-joo, and Han Seon-woo's collaboration to defeat Han Beom-woo did not allow Jeong Je to win. Hansang launched a powerful offensive even involving a famous singer's marketing, and in response, Jeong Je countered by enticing the audience's taste buds with basic kimbap and moju made by Shin Chun-seung. The result was a narrow victory for the La Rcell team, which included Jang Young-hye. Since Jeong Je put in their best effort, Mo Yeon-joo gracefully accepted the outcome.
Ironically, it was Han Beom-woo who could not hide his frustration. Seeing Mo Yeon-joo upset due to Han Seon-woo and Jang Young-hye's interference struck a deep chord within him. Jang Young-hye teased Han Beom-woo, who was reacting sensitively, asking if he had feelings for Mo Yeon-joo, and although he vehemently denied it, Han Beom-woo ultimately acknowledged his feelings for Mo Yeon-joo. Watching the kids happily playing with the top that they had won, along with Mo Yeon-joo's sincere attitude towards cooking and ingredients, and her way of preparing food all blended together in Han Beom-woo's heart as love.
Mo Yeon-joo, too, found herself increasingly curious about Han Beom-woo, who she initially thought was arrogant. Despite acting indifferent, she paid attention to Jang Young-hye, whom she had been introduced to as Han Beom-woo's ex-girlfriend, and her stubbornness, which nobody had been able to withstand, softened in front of Han Beom-woo. As a result, although she was momentarily surprised by Han Beom-woo's sudden kiss, her positive response by closing her eyes was enough to evoke excitement.
Thus, Han Beom-woo was convinced of his feelings for Mo Yeon-joo following strong denial, while Mo Yeon-joo was keenly observing all of Han Beom-woo's unique facets. This situation raises questions about whether their kiss will become a point of consolidation leading them to the next step.
Meanwhile, Mo Yeon-joo discovered a lighter in the burned kitchen that was melted and hard to identify. She thought the lighter belonged to Han Beom-woo, but Han Beom-woo had not smoked near the store since he was scolded by Mo Yeon-joo. The lighter left only ambiguous and unsettling questions about whether it was related to the Jeong Je arson case.
