'Solo since' ended its season with the 20th episode, featuring the candid and straightforward charm of Yesiwon and Park Eun-hye.
In the 20th episode of the variety show 'Solo since,' which was aired on the 20th in collaboration between SBS Plus and Channel E, the two MCs along with 'Solo Sister' Yesiwon and Park Eun-hye sat together, where Yesiwon showcased a striking chemistry with her 90-year-old incredibly youthful mother. Additionally, Park Eun-hye invited two of her high school alumni to join her for 'Eun-hye Camping,' strengthening their bond while receiving warm support and empathy from the viewers. 'Solo since' proved its popularity, topping the OTT charts and appearing on portal main pages, concluding on a high note.
Yesiwon, living with her 90-year-old mother, made kale apple juice as soon as she woke up in the morning. Shortly after, Yesiwon's mother appeared, preparing her breakfast, saying, 'I need to eat some baguette.' Especially, Yesiwon's mother surprised everyone with her 'incredibly youthful appearance' that made her look like she was in her 70s. While preparing breakfast, Yesiwon asked her mother, 'Would you like a fried egg?' However, her mother firmly rejected her by saying, 'I don't like eggs.' After some time, Yesiwon offered her homemade juice again, and reluctantly (?) her mother accepted it, stating, 'We need to be together for only 30 minutes a day,' quickly finishing her meal before leaving, creating laughter.
When her mother went out, Yesiwon called her junior Yeo Jeong-ha, whom she recently filmed a movie with in Florence, Italy, and British actor Harry, asking for help to take out the items in the logistics warehouse. Immediately, the three went to the warehouse, quickly took out the items, and loaded them into the car to return to Yesiwon's home. Additionally, the two juniors smoothly moved the furniture in Yesiwon's closet, and impressed, Yesiwon remarked, 'This is definitely incomparable to what I do. I'm envious of your strength. Is there no (male) around? Where should I look?,' she lamented cutely.
Having organized the belongings in no time, Yesiwon served her juniors homemade rockfish octopus soup, pork belly, and specially ordered nurungji chicken soup. In a warm atmosphere, Harry brought up the topic of 'dating,' casually asking, 'Sister, you have such energy, maybe a younger one would suit you well. Would you date a Korean guy?' Observing this, MC Shin Dong-yeop noted the subtle undercurrents, stating, 'Despite Yesiwon putting up a wall, I can feel Harry trying to come in.' However, Yesiwon quickly dismissed it, saying, 'Not at all!' and expressed, 'I think Harry won’t answer my calls anymore,' evoking 'laughing sorrow.'
Following Yesiwon, it was now Park Eun-hye's turn. The 'camping expert' Park Eun-hye packed up her car with camping gear and set off to the campsite. She quickly set up a cozy home by herself and prepared camping dishes such as flower crab soup and chicken skewers. During this time, her high school friends visited the campsite, marking the start of 'Eun-hye Camping.' The two friends presented her with a cake and a bikini gift for her birthday, to which Park Eun-hye expressed, 'Thank you so much,' and added, 'I’m actually going on an overseas trip with my friends this time. It’s my first trip without the kids,' feeling excited. She further shared, 'I spent my first birthday after the divorce with my friends. So many people surprised me with gifts.'
While enjoying camping dishes with her friends, Park Eun-hye dove into 'memory talk.' She reminisced about the time when she was known as the 'pretty girl' in high school, sharing stories about a male student who yelled, 'Park Eun-hye! I love you~' in the playground and how she quickly managed to get basketball tickets thanks to her 'beauty'.
During the conversation, the close friends unexpectedly asked, 'Are there moments when you wish you had a boyfriend?' Park Eun-hye candidly replied, 'Like on my birthday or special events? I can’t do it alone…' Her friends jokingly added, 'Was it when a snake came out of your house?' then laughingly said, 'You definitely need a boyfriend. What kind of boyfriend do you want?' Park Eun-hye said, 'A man who can quietly listen to me!' and confessed, 'I’m open if there’s a good person.' At this, MC Shin Dong-yeop remarked, '(After the divorce) You probably haven't been idle for 9 years,' to which Park Eun-hye quipped, 'They wouldn’t have left me alone,' filling the studio with laughter.
At the end of the camping trip, Park Eun-hye remarked, 'Maybe I should have gone to Songdo where you live,' with a complex expression. Her friends comforted her, saying, 'They say women can live well if they have friends even after a divorce.' Amid the warm friendship shared among the three, the jointly produced variety show 'Solo since' by SBS Plus and Channel E wrapped up its season with the 20th episode and is expected to meet viewers again after some reorganization.
