Hwanhee, Lyn, and Cheon Nok-dam delighted viewers.
On the 20th, the SBS show 'Shoe Off, Dolsing Mates' (hereafter Dolsing Mates) featured Hwanhee, Lyn, and Cheon Nok-dam, who have made their mark in ballad and R&B and have dominated the trot scene.
Cheon Nok-dam, active as Lee Jeong, responded to Tak Jae-hoon’s question about whether Lee Jeong's old-style songs are no longer available, noting, 'That old feeling doesn’t come out anymore. I’ve aged.' He also candidly stated, 'If I do reggae hair now, all my hair will fall out.'
Tak Jae-hoon said, 'Have these people completely dominated the trot scene? Is Lim Young-woong done?' Everyone quickly reacted to Tak Jae-hoon's remarks, eliciting laughter with a swift 'cut-off.'
Cheon Nok-dam explained, 'My debut song 'Dashi' features a breathing technique emphasized in African American music. Eating something spicy opens the breath.' He added that he uses a poppin style when doing trot, saying, 'Trot requires good inflection. It’s very, very difficult.' Lyn mentioned that when singing trot, she uses a push-and-pull technique, explaining, 'I also use a lot of push-and-pull in ballads, but it stands out more.'
Cheon Nok-dam, who has been married for three years, revealed his love story with his wife. Lee Sang-min said, 'It’s time for the ego to come out. It’s about time for rebellion to surface.' In response, Cheon Nok-dam stated, 'It's completely the opposite. Our relationship has improved.' He revealed his loving side while mentioning the challenge of doing trot, saying, 'Every business I tried failed, so I had to hear, 'Try doing something you’re good at.' Without those words, I wouldn't have been able to do this,' crediting his wife's strong support and encouragement.
