KBS 1TV 'Human Theater' is warming the living room with three daughters.

A rural house filled with over a hundred traditional fermentation jars. There are Kim Young-ae (60) and Kim Soon-ae (62), who have gathered by their mother after their own wandering. Young-ae, who was a full-time housewife, came down to inherit her mother's 'jang' after searching for something she could do after her husband passed away. The mother, who led a life making jang in the traditional way as the daughter-in-law of a prestigious family, opposed it, saying it would be a hard path. Soon-ae, the older sister, was also concerned about her sick mother and the younger sister who would struggle, but ultimately chose to take action.

Making jang and farming... Days go by without a moment of rest from waking up to falling asleep, but the sisters, who take care of each other like friends, are grateful for another day thanks to their wise mother. We take a look at the sisters' challenge to catch up to their mother's 'jang' flavor and their charming rural life filled with ups and downs.

Thanks to her husband, who worked in trade, Young-ae lived without lack. It was a satisfying life where she could do what she wanted. Nine years ago, when her husband passed away from stomach cancer, Young-ae, who had been a full-time housewife, had to find her own work.

After quitting a job in insurance that she realized didn’t suit her, Young-ae came to remember her mother's 'doenjang.' Her mother, Kwang-ja, who had spent years making jang alone as the daughter-in-law of a prestigious family, knew how taxing making jang in the traditional way was, so she strongly discouraged her second daughter from coming down to learn.

Even if Young-ae was confident in her physical strength, it was impossible to make jang alone by cooking and crushing the beans. She asked her older sister Soon-ae for help and came back to her mother at the age of over 60. The living arrangement of the three women began.

The sisters, who are exploring all kinds of jang like doenjang, cheonggukjang, gochujang, and ganjang, spend busy days making cheonggukjang, learning about jang, and making gochujang. All of this has been possible because of their mother, who quietly supports them from behind. However, recently, the mother has been lacking vitality, and the daughters felt a sense of unease.

After many ups and downs, the three have come together again through jang. We take a look at the three women's jang that is deepening like the rich flavor of jang.
