Director Lee Seon-jung mentioned the late Kim Sae-ron.

On the 21st, a press screening and media conference for Kim Sae-ron's final film 'Guitar Man' took place at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul.

'Guitar Man' is a music film that depicts the loss, love, and journey of a genius guitarist who seeks hope through music amidst a harsh reality.

The protagonist 'Gi-cheol (Lee Seon-jung)' is a genius guitarist living a wandering life due to lack of money. After being introduced by a friend, 'Gi-cheol (Lee Seon-jung)' becomes the guitarist for the live club band 'Volcano' and finds hope in the world while struggling together with band members, including keyboardist 'Yoo-jin (Kim Sae-ron)'.

In particular, 'Guitar Man' has received significant attention as the tragic story of the late actress Kim Sae-ron, who played 'Yoo-jin', became known to the public, and director Lee Seon-jung, who acted the role of the protagonist Gi-cheol, shared his feelings.

On this day, Director Lee stated, "When I first cast Kim Sae-ron, we had a meeting, and I knew it was a difficult situation. However, we will release the film around the end of May next year. I hope that until then, she can stay quiet, reflect, and rise again to soar in the mainstream. I wanted to keep that promise."

He continued, "So as we moved forward under pressure, there are some regretful parts. The film will be released on the 30th after making further adjustments," and added, "While working, I had to keep seeing Sae-ron's face. That was the hardest part. I can't forget it. I had to see it every day in the editing room, and all those moments were with me. I kept seeing her while editing, and she even appeared in my dreams."

He also said, "The second hardest part is that I should have been sitting here together today. It's really embarrassing and sorry for me to come alone. I also cried towards the end while watching the film. No matter how many times I edit it, Kim Sae-ron's story is truly heartbreaking."
