On the 20th, an interview with actor Lee Bong-ryeon regarding the conclusion of tvN’s “Resident Playbook” was held at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul.
The series “Resident Playbook,” which concluded with its final episode on the 18th, is a spin-off of the popular drama “Hospital Playlist,” finishing warmly while setting its own record for the highest viewership.
In this regard, Lee Bong-ryeon noted, “The viewership ratings have been rising a little bit, so it feels like the audience is gradually looking at us in line with the title, and I feel that this sentiment is reflected in the ratings. It feels good to have such conversations among actors. In the end, we got the highest viewership ratings, so I met with the actors feeling good.”
However, “Resident Playbook” faced delays in its airing due to strikes in the medical field, which led to a series of challenges before finally meeting the audience.
In response, Lee Bong-ryeon reflected, “Everyone worked hard on filming, but the broadcast was delayed for about a year last year. But in the meantime, it turns out everyone was working hard individually. We were shooting as well. It didn’t feel like a hiatus, as both my friends and I were constantly filming. It seems everyone endured well.”
There was certainly some regret. She said, “Every time I heard news about the delay, I felt disappointed. Many people were waiting. I felt regretful, but still, it has been loved a lot since it started airing, and all those feelings have melted away.”
In particular, she expressed her affection for “Resident Playbook,” saying, “I think it might be a masterpiece in my life. It’s a precious work. When I’m feeling a bit difficult or hopeless, I want to look back at Seo Jeong-min. I think that will boost my confidence significantly. ‘Resident Playbook’ is really a precious work for me.”
