Soo-yumi, the daughter of trot singer So-myung from 'Dad and Me,' revealed her past as an idol.

On the 20th, during the airing of TV Chosun's 'Dad and Me,' the duo of 38-year trot singer So-myung and his daughter Soo-yumi, who is the main character of the beloved song 'Bye Bye Ya,' appeared together.

So-myung, dubbed the 'Michael Jackson of trot,' appeared as a new dad. So-myung remarked, "I am more nervous today than when I stand on stage," sharing his thoughts on the grants.

So-myung said, "Three families under one roof are singers," mentioning that his son So-yu-chan is actively involved in songwriting and composing, while his daughter Soo-yumi is working as a singer. Regarding the pros and cons of his children having the same profession, So-myung stated, "The good thing is that we understand the job quickly and can talk to each other." The downside is that he noted, "They receive advice from seniors in a rude manner," drawing laughter.

Soo-yumi mentioned that she has 14 years of experience as a singer and 10 years in trot. She revealed that she first debuted as a member of a girl group. Subin of Cosmic Girls, who witnessed this in the studio, said, "I remember when I was a trainee, Soo-yumi sunbae was famous because she trained with a member of ours, and I looked her up because she was pretty and sang well."

Soo-yumi stated, "I failed (as a girl group member). I think the hurt was too great. Back then, in my weak state of mind, I said I couldn't be a singer. It's funny when I think about it now. My dad got angry and scolded me: 'You are still young; you can still do it.'"
