NCT member Mark (affiliated with SME) has successfully completed his first showcase tour in Japan.
Mark successfully held the ‘The Firstfruit SHOWCASE LIVE in JAPAN’ in three Japanese cities including Nagoya and Osaka, concluding with the performance in Yokohama on the 19th, and all three performances recorded full house attendance, confirming his high popularity locally.
This showcase tour was held to commemorate the release of Mark's first solo album, ‘The Firstfruit,’ showcasing various tracks such as the impactful hip-hop performance of ‘Righteous,’ the appealing live performance of ‘Raincouver,’ and ‘Too Much,’ demonstrating a new side of him as a solo artist and receiving enthusiastic responses from the local audience.
In particular, the lively rhythm of the title track ‘1999’ was combined with Mark's unique charisma, heightening the atmosphere as the audience joined in singing along. Mark also shared the emotions he felt during the album-making process, behind-the-scenes details, and his thoughts on his first solo activities, creating a comfortable and genuine communication time with fans.
After concluding the showcase tour, Mark noted, “I felt grateful once again that I seem to be nurturing the ‘The Firstfruit’ album well with the fans (referred to as ‘CZENY’). Each fan's happy gaze and expression while enjoying the performance gave me great strength, and the enthusiastic singing and support I received felt warm. I will continue to show good music and wonderful stages, so I hope we can be together for a long time.”
Even after the performance ended, as the audience fervently shouted Mark's name for an encore, he returned to the stage to sing the title track ‘1999’ with fans, meaningfully concluding his solo showcase tour in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
NCT 127, of which Mark is a member, will hold the finale performance of their fourth world tour ‘NEO CITY – THE MOMENTUM’ at Tokyo Dome in Japan on the 21st and 22nd.
