On the 38th anniversary of his debut on "The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears," ballad king Byeon Jin-seop took the stage as a new boss, bringing laughter with his dynamic portrayal transitioning between Dooly and Byeon Gil-dong.

The episode that aired on the 18th recorded a peak rating of 5.2% (based on Nielsen Korea), showing a strong momentum as the number one entertainment show in its time slot for 155 consecutive weeks.

On that day, the second part of Park Myung-soo's "Walk to the Boss's House" was revealed. Park Myung-soo visited a makgeolli company with intern Kim Yeo-won, where they met CEO Kim Gi-hwan. CEO Kim, who grew the company's annual revenue from 200 million won to 50 billion won after 15 years, asked for Park Myung-soo's help to become the industry leader. Park Myung-soo, upon hearing that there was no model for makgeolli yet, dreamt of becoming an ad model and began an in-depth tour of the company.

Following the makgeolli evaluation meeting, Park Myung-soo, Yeo-won, and the employees of the makgeolli company initiated a project to get makgeolli into non-listed stores. Park Myung-soo built rapport by conversing with restaurant owners. Upon hearing from the sales team leader that the store had previously rejected them, Park Myung-soo said, "Are we going to give up just because of that?" and revealed his sales strategy. Park Myung-soo praised the restaurant saying, "The hospitality here is generous," and started a restaurant appreciation relay to win over the owner's heart before casually suggesting, "There’s a makgeolli that goes well with grilled fish; would you like to taste it?" which resulted in a partial sales success. After giving instructions to Yeo-won and the makgeolli company employees for the customers to taste, he deployed strategies as the sales control tower. The sight of customers enjoying food with makgeolli also intrigued the restaurant owner, and at that moment, Park Myung-soo clinched the deal with a sharp sales pitch, saying, "How about getting makgeolli listed starting tomorrow?" Jun Hyun-moo acknowledged Park Myung-soo's sales skill by saying, "He’s a sales king."

Next, ballad king Byeon Jin-seop, celebrating his 38th anniversary on 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears,' grabbed attention as he stepped up as a new boss. To support the new boss Byeon Jin-seop, his fan and broadcaster Kim Hyo-jin joined as a special MC. Byeon Jin-seop said, "Artists are very sensitive and delicate, but I think I am easy-going and have a good personality," which amused the audience as the evaluations from his band members, who have been with him for over 10 years, were quite different. A 20-year piano member of Byeon Jin-seop's band commented, "He looks like Dooly, but his position is actually Go Gil-dong," which embarrassed Byeon Jin-seop. Byeon Jin-seop reprimanded his band members, saying, "Shouldn’t we give it some dimensionality?" and expressed confidence that they would understand his feedback. However, the band members complained, shouting, "What in the world is that dimensionality!" which created a reversal of humor.

Furthermore, when Byeon Jin-seop provided feedback on the arrangement, which the members had played for 10 years, they complained, "That part has been arranged the same way for 10 years." Byeon Jin-seop responded, "That has been on my mind for 10 years," eliciting laughter with his long-held comment. Byeon Jin-seop's perfectionism extended to his own children as well. He activated his Go Gil-dong mode on his younger son, dancer Byeon Jae-jun, who was in charge of choreography during the performance, stating, "You can't make such mistakes during the show," showcasing the traits of a perfectionist boss.

Meanwhile, Byeon Jin-seop's impressive large house with a neat interior was revealed, attracting admiration. Byeon Jin-seop expressed pride, saying, "The word ballad has come up since I appeared." He also mentioned ballad successors, citing MeloMance's Kim Min-seok, and surprised everyone with an impromptu live performance of MeloMance's "Is It Love?" which perfectly matched his sweet voice, leading to exclamations of admiration. Reflecting on his peak years, Byeon Jin-seop revealed, "In the 1990s, the revenue from albums was 2 billion won," saying, "I drove the best passenger car in South Korea, and upon seeing an American car, I bought it too." Byeon Jin-seop remarked, "The popularity back then was at the level of BTS nowadays," showcasing how incredible his past popularity was.

Meanwhile, on that day’s broadcast, the appearance of global star chef Jung Ji-sun, who dreams of a bold U.S. advancement, was unveiled. Jung Ji-sun revealed, "I prepared 2,500 servings in 5 days for a pop-up store in the U.S.," showcasing his ambitions for the American market. After closing the store, Jung Ji-sun called in the staff, including Lucky and Alberto, and held a midnight gourmet meeting at 12 a.m. Jung Ji-sun assigned a new menu development mission, saying, "Jung Geon and Hee-won, take the lead and create one menu each." Taste experts Lucky and Alberto emphasized to Jung Ji-sun the popularity of K-food, stating, "We must absolutely preserve Korea's identity" as they poured out advice for succeeding abroad.

Kim Hee-won presented a 'tofu taco' based on his experiences from the U.S. trip, while Lee Jung-geon showcased a modified dish called 'Nobi Shrimp Balls,' based on cold field mustard soybean paste soup. Lucky and Alberto chose 'Nobi Shrimp Balls,' thinking they should highlight the Korean aspect. Not fully satisfied with the two dishes, Jung Ji-sun presented his own dish for the U.S. market. The overwhelming visual and harmony of diverse textures and flavors in his chicken dish led Lucky to exclaim, "It's made in China!" Jung Ji-sun proudly remarked, "Did you see that, guys? This is how cooking should be done!" showcasing the proud skills of a global star chef.
