Actor Jin Tae-hyun shared his feelings ahead of thyroid cancer surgery.
On the 19th, Jin Tae-hyun posted on his social media, "I didn’t realize the pre-surgery exams were this rigorous. It’s all done. Let’s work hard, exercise, visit my mother in New York, and have the surgery go well."
Previously, on the 7th, Jin Tae-hyun revealed that he is battling thyroid cancer. He said, "In April, my wife and I had a health check-up, and everything is healthy, but I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and am facing surgery. It is detected early and is very small, but I must have surgery before it spreads to other areas," which evoked sympathy.
He noted, "Until the surgery, I will handle various scheduled commitments, including filming and overseas plans, while taking proper rest and not overdoing it, so please don’t worry too much." He added, "People say it’s a 'slow cancer,' but cancer is cancer, and we were a bit surprised. As always, I will try to let it go and overcome it."
Meanwhile, Jin Tae-hyun married actress Park Si-eun in 2015, and they attracted attention by adopting a college-aged daughter in 2019. The couple has been receiving much support and love from the public by sharing their daily lives through SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny.'
