The girl group MEOVV and izna will appear on the newly revamped 'Weekly Idol.'
'Weekly Idol' will make its debut on June 6 at 5:30 p.m. on MBC M and at 11:30 p.m. on MBC Every1 after undergoing about six months of reorganization since it concluded broadcasts in December last year. This revision focuses on enhancing communication with fans and expanding music-centered content.
Amid the attention of idol fans, MEOVV and izna, who possess fresh energy and explosive fandom power, have confirmed their appearance on 'Weekly Idol.' MEOVV will kick off the new season.
MEOVV recently released their first mini-album 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE,' generating a challenge craze with the title tracks 'DROP TOP' and 'HANDS UP,' receiving a warm response. After the performance reveal, 'HANDS UP' rebounded in domestic major music sites, ranking 28th on the Melon chart 'TOP 100,' and achieved a record of being number one on music broadcasts for two consecutive weeks.
The protagonist of Episode 2, izna, was born through the Mnet girl group survival program 'I-LAND 2' and made their debut in November last year. Following the title track 'IZNA' from their debut album 'N/a,' izna has shown exceptional global popularity by achieving number one on music broadcasts with their first digital single 'SIGN.' izna recently announced a June comeback, quickly rising as a global K-pop super rookie.
The revamped 'Weekly Idol' also provides fans with the opportunity to attend in person. Applications for attendance will be conducted through the MBC Plus fandom voting platform 'Idol Champ' and the official fan cafes of the respective guests.
