Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye is horrified.
The KBS 2TV program 'Smoking Gun,' airing at 9:45 p.m. on the 20th (Tuesday), will feature the case of Jung Yu-jung, 23, who stabbed and dismembered a victim 111 times out of curiosity.
On May 27, 2023, an urgent report was made by a taxi driver through 112. In the early hours of the morning, he picked up a passenger whose behavior seemed suspicious no matter how he looked at it. A woman, carrying a heavy large bag, appeared to vanish into the bushes by the Nakdong River, but after 20 minutes, she reappeared with a considerably lighter bag. What was she planning to do by the Nakdong River that early morning?
Police arrived at the scene and opened the suspicious bag. Upon discovering bloodstains, they urgently arrested the woman. What emerged was a shocking crime. The identity of the suspicious woman was Jung Yu-jung, 23. She had deceived others by posing as a middle school student, approached a peer victim through a tutoring app whom she had never met before, and after stabbing them 111 times, went on to dismember the body.
Additionally, it was revealed that she had planned her crime by searching terms like "how to torture a person" and "murders without a body" for a year prior, adding to the shock. Lee Ji-hye expressed outrage, saying, "I don't think even a devil could be more cruel than this. How can someone commit murder and shift the blame onto the victim?" An Hyun-mo noted, "It seems she had meticulously prepared for the crime," and added, "Yet, her insistence that it was accidental is astonishing."
