There has been no report of a murder solicitation case or an attack case involving individual A, who leaked a recording claiming that actor Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron during her minor years.
According to a report from a media outlet on the 19th, the Consulate General in New York stated, 'There have been no arrests or records of crimes such as attempted murder committed by our citizens against overseas Koreans in our jurisdiction.' It is said that the incident has not even been reported to local investigative agencies.
Under Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, local law enforcement agencies are obligated to notify the consulate of the relevant country without delay if our citizens are arrested or detained. However, the consulate explained, 'We have not received any notifications related to this matter to date.' They also distanced themselves from claims that the FBI is investigating, stating, 'This is not information we possess or can verify.'
Previously, the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' held a press conference and claimed that individual A was attacked by Korean and Chinese assailants in New Jersey on the 1st, stating, 'The neck area was stabbed as many as 9 times. The assailants have been arrested, and it appears that Kim Soo-hyun is behind this incident.'
Afterwards, in a video released by Gaseyeon, individual A suddenly corrected, saying, 'I injured my arm,' and the medical certificate only recorded injuries to the 'right shoulder' and 'left hand,' showing a different scenario from the original claim.
Individual A is also the person who provided Gaseyeon with the recording file in which Kim Sae-ron allegedly said during her lifetime that she dated Kim Soo-hyun during her minor years. However, this file has also been embroiled in manipulation allegations.
In response to this, Kim Soo-hyun's representatives emphasized, 'The recording file is completely fabricated, and the gold medalist believes that the file was created via AI or similar technology,' adding, 'Gaseyeon's disclosed 'attack photo' is a photo that can be immediately verified through an internet search, and Gaseyeon along with the transmitter of the recording file are claiming that they downloaded the photo from the internet and are calling it an 'attack photo.'
Currently, Kim Soo-hyun's team has filed a lawsuit amounting to approximately 12 billion won against the bereaved family and the YouTube channel.
