Actor Kim Jae-won, who made a splash with 'The Tale of Lady Ok' and 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call', has joined 'Yumi's Cells 3'.

According to OSEN's coverage on the 19th, actor Kim Jae-won has decided to join the cast of the TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells' Season 3, taking on the role of 'Shin Sun-rok'.

The TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yeob, written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, provided by TVING, produced by Studio Dragon, Merikow, and Studio N) depicts the story of Yumi (played by Kim Goeun), who returns as a star writer, as Yumi's cells, which only know Yumi, grow once again, painting a relatable romance about love as always.

Recently, with 'Yumi's Cells' having confirmed its Season 3 production after three years, Kim Goeun, who starred in the previous seasons, has also confirmed her participation.

Especially in Season 3, with an unpredictable romance expected to unfold in front of Yumi, who has achieved her dream as a writer, interest has surged regarding the actor who will play 'Shin Sun-rok', Yumi's last romantic partner in the original work.

Kim Jae-won debuted as a model in 2018 and transitioned to acting in 2021, appearing in various works such as 'Our Blues', 'The World Where You Live', 'King the Land', 'Hierarchy', and 'The Tale of Lady Ok'.

Additionally, he recently captivated viewers as Seong Do-gyeom in 'The Tale of Lady Ok' and Seo Dong-joo in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call', and has also been cast in Netflix's 'Lady Dua', continuing to shoot and draw attention for his busy schedule.

Meanwhile, the TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' will be released on TVING in the first half of 2026.
