The group ILLIT will return next month with a new album.
The agency Belief Lab announced on the 19th through the global superfan platform Weverse that ILLIT (YoonA, MinJu, MoKa, WonHee, IroHa) will release their mini album 'bomb' on June 16.
According to Belief Lab, 'bomb' contains a story of ILLIT expanding their world with their own attitude through interactions with 'you.' Following their songs 'SUPER REAL ME' (mini album 1) that sang about the true 'me' and 'I'LL LIKE YOU' (mini album 2) that faithfully captured the feelings of 'me' liking 'you,' ILLIT begins to build a relationship with 'you.' There is anticipation for ILLIT to show new aspects as they pave their own way with their quirky sensibility and bold charm.
ILLIT made a strong impact on the global market upon debut last year. Their debut song 'Magnetic' was the first and fastest debut song in K-pop to enter both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Chart, sweeping various global charts. With the lasting popularity of this song, the title track 'Cherish (My Love)' from mini album 2 also received great love, leading ILLIT to achieve a total of 13 awards, including 7 rookie awards at major music awards in Korea, the U.S., and Japan.
ILLIT's accomplishments continue this year. Their song 'Almond Chocolate,' released in February as the theme song for a Japanese film, gained traction and created a resurgence on local charts. 'Almond Chocolate' reached 10th place in the 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' of the Japan Oricon Chart (March 31-April 6), marking the highest achievement among K-pop girl group songs released this year.
They also have their first fan concert ahead. ILLIT will hold the fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL' at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul, on the 7th and 8th of next month, meeting with fans. They demonstrated their hot popularity by selling out both shows during pre-sales.
Meanwhile, pre-sales for 'bomb' will start today (19th) at 11 a.m.
