"My Little Old Boy"'s Lee Sang-yeob was surprised by his virtual second child.
On the 18th, SBS's entertainment program "My Little Old Boy" (hereinafter "Miwoosae") featured actor Lee Sang-yeob as a guest, sharing details about his newlywed life.
Earlier, when Lee Sang-yeob appeared on "Miwoosae," he referred to his wife with the nickname "so, so cute." Seo Jang-hoon asked Lee, who has entered his first year of marriage this year, "Do you still call her that?" Lee Sang-yeob said, "These days, it has developed a bit more, so I call her 'King Bin' because 'Bin' is in her name, and sometimes I even call her 'King Wang Jjang Bin' because it can be a bit 'King' too. So, 'so, so cute; King Bin'".
Lee Sang-yeob revealed that he still celebrates anniversaries every 100 days, showcasing his romantic side. He said, "From the day we first met, I celebrate 100 days, 200 days, and 300 days, but it's not extravagant; we just eat delicious food and sometimes give flowers. It varies from time to time. Even when we go to the Han River, I give significance to it by saying, 'Today is the Han River of our 800th day.'"
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-yeob, feeling confident in his impersonation skills, prepared a talent to show during his family introductions. Lee Sang-yeob joked, "It would have been quite awkward for me, but I thought my mother would also be very nervous, so I thought to lighten the mood when greeting them (but luckily, I didn’t remember to do it), which is why I probably didn’t get married."
Most notably, on this day, Lee Sang-yeob attracted attention by stating that he decided to marry after meeting Im Min-jung while filming "Once Again."
Lee Sang-yeob shared, "Every time we filmed and during breaks, I noticed her looking at her phone and always smiling happily. Senior Lee Byung-hun would take care of his child at home and show them, which made things seem so nice, and when his sister finished filming, she would go home because she missed the baby. It all seemed so happy, which made me want to get married quickly."
The broadcast also revealed a picture of Lee Sang-yeob and his wife's virtual second child. He said, "Wow, this is very touching, thank you, AI," as he couldn't take his eyes off it. Shin Dong-yup asked, "Does it also resemble your wife?" and Lee replied, "It looks like me more, but I feel it resembles my wife's features too. This is really fun."
Later, pondering over personality characteristics, after Seo Jang-hoon's warning of "Be careful with your words," Lee humorously said, "I hope he resembles my wife's personality. She is very meticulous."
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-yeob revealed that his mother was diagnosed with a type of bone marrow cancer called myelofibrosis and underwent a stem cell transplant. He explained, "In the past, they would really insert a needle into the bone marrow to collect it, but nowadays it's simplified. With advancements in technology, they just separate the stem cells from the blood as if they were donating blood, and the rest of the blood goes back to me."
Shin Dong-yup noted, "Your wife is also amazing; she studied while your mother was struggling." Lee Sang-yeob expressed gratitude, saying, "Originally, I thought my wife didn’t show much interest in this, but she studied a lot about fibrous dysplasia and the procedures I’m undergoing, as well as what my mother has to do in the future. She seemed very knowledgeable about it, and I was really thankful for that."
He then shared, "My mother was discharged this morning. After going through the discharge process, I came here. I'm type B, and my mother is type A, but after receiving my cell transplant, she changed to type B." Hearing this, Shin Dong-yup, Seo Jang-hoon, and the mothers expressed their wishes for her speedy recovery.
