After overcoming seven years of hardships and successfully renewing their contract, the kids, announcing a fresh start without the label 'girl,' shared their future aspirations.

The kids (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Wujin, Shuhua) held a press conference for the release of their mini-album 'We are' on the 19th at Chosun Palace in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul.

Starting with their debut song 'LATATA,' released on May 2, 2018, the kids were beloved for hit songs such as 'Oh my god,' 'DUMDi DUMDi,' 'Firework,' 'TOMBOY,' 'Nxde,' and 'Queencard.' Last year, they topped domestic and international music charts with the title track 'Super Lady' from their second regular album '2' (Two) and created a viral resurgence with the track 'I hate being hurt' (Fate). They followed up with the title track 'Klaxon' from their mini-album 'I SWAY,' solidifying their position as a 'global music powerhouse.'

'We are' is a new album released approximately 10 months after the mini-album 'I SWAY' released last July. Since it comes after winning a major award at a music ceremony and all members renewed their contracts with CUBE Entertainment last December, anticipation is high for this new release.

Ahead of the album release, Soyeon said, 'I didn't realize 10 months had passed. Since this is the first album after the renewal, I'm very nervous because we've prepared a lot.'

Miyeon remarked, 'It's been 10 months since our comeback, and it's one I've been waiting for. We've all participated and put effort into making this album, so I sincerely hope everyone loves it. Although it was tough preparing, we had fun, so I hope you enjoy it.'

Minnie noted, 'Since this is the first group album after the renewal, we prepared really hard, and since all the members participated in production, we ask for your much attention and love.' Wujin added, 'It's been 10 months since our comeback, and we've made a complete transformation from the song genre to styling. I believe fans will like it and see a new side of the kids.'

Finally, Shuhua stated, 'We attempted transformations not only in our songs but from head to toe. I think this album will be a lot of fun, so please look forward to it.'

Meanwhile, the kids' mini-album 'We are' will be released on the 19th at 6 p.m. through various music sites.
