The friendly red carpet moment between Hollywood actor Tom Cruise (62) and Hayley Atwell (43) has reignited interest in their relationship.

Cruise and Atwell attended the premiere of the film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One together last Sunday (local time) at the Lincoln Center in New York. The two, who have had a long filming partnership, captivated attention with their natural closeness, sharing whispers and leaning against each other while walking the red carpet with the cast and crew.

In particular, the scene where Atwell gently wraps her arm around Cruise's shoulder and talks sweetly is noted as the most "intimate moment" among a series of premieres since the Cannes Film Festival in May, attracting attention.

The two had previously worked together on two parts of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, sparking romance rumors. However, Atwell dismissed the dating rumors in an interview, stating, "He is like an uncle to me." She mentioned in an interview with The Independent, "It's unfortunate that personal feelings are projected onto me while I'm focused on work," drawing the line against speculation.

Nevertheless, the duo's natural "chemistry" continues to spark ongoing speculation among fans.

Meanwhile, Cruise is reportedly dating Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas (37). Reports suggest they were spotted having dinner alone before Valentine's Day in February and were even seen boarding Cruise's private helicopter in April, creating an effectively public relationship atmosphere.

On the other hand, Atwell is currently engaged to music producer Ned Wolfgang Kelly. The two officially announced their engagement at the end of 2023, sharing happy updates.

Despite having different partners, Cruise and Atwell still share a strange warmth on set. Is it perhaps the trust developed from their long partnership, or is it the lingering embers of feelings that have yet to extinguish? Fans' attention is once again focused on them.
