Go Ji-yong, a former member of Sechs Kies, revealed his altered daily life and strict self-management routine following health issues.
In the KBS2 entertainment program "Salim, the Men 2," which aired on 17th, the production team visited Go Ji-yong, who is working in the food industry in Asan, South Chungcheong Province.
That day, Go Ji-yong, who changed from a suit into a uniform, showed a significantly healthier complexion than before, attracting attention.
However, he honestly shared, "I was hospitalized two years ago," adding, "Overall, my liver function decreased, and my liver enzyme levels sharply rose. That was when I started to receive signals that my body was not well." Go Ji-yong revealed he was 180 cm tall and weighed 64 kg at that time, surprising everyone.
Eun Ji-won also noted, "I was worried since Ji-yong said he often drank due to work," and Go Ji-yong stated, "Both my mother and the doctor were surprised. I was advised to abstain from alcohol and didn’t drink a single drop for six months."
In particular, on that day’s broadcast, Go Ji-yong’s "small portion diet" also caught attention. There were only a few side dishes in a sauce bowl the size of a 5th plate, and he explained his restrained eating habits by saying, "I generally don’t eat much. If I eat a lot, I get sleepy right away."
Go Ji-yong then showed his extraordinary efforts in health management by pulling out a bag full of supplements. He was depicted taking various health supplements, from probiotics to liver protectors, multivitamins, and minerals. He laughed, saying, "I have to take care of myself now that I’m older," but his serious self-management left a strong impression.
Having experienced rumors of business failures and health issues in the past, Go Ji-yong is now leading a new life with a thorough diet and health routine, making his transformation even more noteworthy.
