MONSTA X's Hyungwon gifted fans an unforgettable day.
On the 17th at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Hyungwon held the '2025 Hyungwon Fan Event: Hyungwon's Greenhouse (Wonder Garden)' at Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, meeting with fans. This fan event, which was held only four days after his discharge, proved the intense interest of fans who had been waiting for Hyungwon, selling out all tickets the moment they went on sale.
On that day, Hyungwon appeared in the audience holding a bouquet, creating an atmosphere full of excitement as he made eye contact with each fan. Opening the stage amid the cheers of the fans, he sang 'Changmun' from Damon's Ear, officially kicking off the fan event and moving everyone with his soulful voice and deepened emotions.
After finishing the song, Hyungwon greeted his long-awaited MONBEBE (the official fan club name). He conveyed his honest feelings saying, "I’m nervous to be greeting you after such a long time," and explained the reason for choosing 'Changmun' as his first stage, saying, "I thought it would be nice to share a song I like while pondering what gift you would enjoy the most." He then showed the legendary 'Flower Shoes' passed down through Minhyuk, Jooheon, and Kihyun, expressing his sincere gratitude to the fans.
Hyungwon then engaged in conversations with fans in line with the concept of 'Hyungwon's Greenhouse.' In the first talk corner, '546 Days, Flowers Have Bloomed,' he introduced various episodes from his military service with photos, eliciting laughter. From anecdotes during military life to simple stories during leave, and even sharing an incident about clearing a drainage ditch in the mountains, Hyungwon captivated the fans with his unique storytelling. Notably, since he served in the military band, he borrowed a trombone from member Kihyun and showcased a brief performance.
In the 'MONBEBE, Flowers Have Bloomed' corner, Hyungwon read letters from fans received through the global fan platform Berriz. His careful reading of each letter and the warm sincerity in the messages moved everyone deeply, especially as MONBEBE who sent letters for their birthdays participated in the first session, and another MONBEBE who wrote in Busan dialect participated in the second session, heating up the atmosphere even more.
A corner for interactive communication followed abundantly. Hyungwon added to the excitement with a pre-prepared challenge medley before the post-it wish corner 'Wish Garden,' where fans participated in person. He showcased his polished performance skills with a medley that combined stages he presented during his military service, including 'Igloo,' 'Magnetic,' 'Today Only I LOVE YOU,' 'Siren,' 'Boom Boom Bass,' and 'Our First Meeting Didn't Go as Planned,' responding to the fans with roaring cheers.
Hyungwon then checked the post-its left by the fans and took time to grant their wishes on the spot. He performed various challenges like 'like JENNIE' and 'GENTO,' while repeatedly performing MONSTA X's 'Fallin’,' 'Rodeo,' and 'ZONE' at the fans' requests, energetically moving about the stage. His joyful appearance while running and laughing with the fans provided MONBEBE with overwhelming emotions, and they responded with enthusiastic cheering and passionate support.
In addition, a variety of programs continued, such as the game 'Act It Out,' where Hyungwon explained words using gestures for fans to guess, and the corner 'After Discharge, I Will Do Everything MONBEBE Asks,' where they took photos mimicking the fans' poses. Among these, when MONBEBE won in the 'Act It Out' game, Hyungwon revealed that he would give away 100 signed posters per session through random seat drawings, providing another unforgettable gift for the fans.
After completing all the prepared segments, Hyungwon shared his resolution, saying, "I will think only of the happy times we will fill together and try my best in everything." While taking a group photo, he responded to a shout from the audience, "I love you, Cha Hyungwon!" with, "I love you, MONBEBE!" creating a warm atmosphere.
Hyungwon then said his final farewell, stating, "I hope this place becomes your greenhouse amid the cold and harsh reality wherever you go," and concluded the fan event by singing Woody's 'Dress Casually and Come Out.' After the performance ended, he also held a farewell event for fans leaving, completing a warm day befitting the name 'Hyungwon's Greenhouse.'
Through his agency Starship Entertainment, Hyungwon conveyed his thoughts: "I think I was really nervous meeting MONBEBE after such a long time. Every moment spent with each of you felt so warm and happy that it passed in an instant, and I hope this moment remains in the fans' memories for a long time. I will also remember it for life. Let’s meet more often, laugh more often, and be happier more often! I sincerely love MONBEBE!"
Meanwhile, Hyungwon, who completed his 1 year and 6 months of military service, is slated to meet fans through various activities in the future. On the 29th, he will serve as MC for the 'Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025.'
