In the ENA entertainment show ‘I missed you, Choi Hwajung and Kim Hoyeong,’ Jung Kyungho revealed that he pursued acting despite his father's opposition.

In the 11th episode of the ENA entertainment show ‘I missed you, Choi Hwajung and Kim Hoyeong,’ aired on the 18th, actor Jung Kyungho appeared ahead of the first broadcast of the drama ‘Oh My Ghost Clients.’

On this day, Kim Hoyeong asked, “When you said you were going to be an actor, did your father (Director Jeong Eul-young) actively support it?” Jung Kyungho replied, “Thinking back, of course, he was the one who understood that it was the hardest more than anyone else, so he opposed me going to the Theater Department.”

He continued, “At that time, I secretly wrote the exam application for Chungang University and also took the KBS public talent exam secretly. Since my father worked at KBS for so long, some of his colleagues, whom I refer to as my uncle who came to visit at home, went to the test site and were seated as interviewers. I am really grateful and fortunate to have been accepted as a public talent with good results. It wasn’t due to connections; I really did well and passed with good results. My father was proud of me.”

Then, Choi Hwajung asked, “What work did you acknowledge as our son the actor?” Jung Kyungho replied that he hadn’t yet but noted, “It’s always there. When the broadcast comes out, I receive the first call. There’s feedback on how it was. Mostly, I receive compliments.”

Above all, Jung Kyungho also traveled the Camino de Santiago in Spain with his father, Director Jeong Eul-young. He reminisced, “I wanted to go to the Camino de Santiago so badly. It was on my bucket list. My father also wanted to go. It was interesting that at that time, I received a text message from a travel agency advertising pilgrimage packages. I went in and booked right away. We took a good course and spent a month and a half there.”

He added, “Everyone comes with their friends, but since I came with my son, people looked at us strangely. They would say, ‘Are you walking with your son for 50 days?’ We both drank wine every day for 50 days, and people would ask, ‘Why are you drinking wine for 50 days with your son?’”
