Big Bang’s G-Dragon recorded the first place in the boy group individual brand reputation.

On the 17th, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced that the results of the big data analysis for boy group individual brand reputation in May 2025 revealed that G-Dragon of Big Bang ranked first, BTS’s Jin second, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo third.

To analyze the boy group individual brand reputation big data, 72,429,761 pieces of brand big data were extracted from 755 boy group individuals from April 17, 2025, to May 17, 2025, which was used to analyze consumer behavior indices such as participation index, media index, communication index, and community index to determine the brand reputation index. Compared to the 76,428,630 pieces of boy group brand big data from April, this represents a 5.23% decrease.

The brand reputation index is a metric derived from analyzing brand big data, which identifies how consumer online habits significantly influence brand consumption. Through the analysis of boy group individual brand reputation, it is possible to measure positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and the level of consumer engagement and communication regarding the individual brands. The analysis of boy group individual brand reputation also included brand value evaluation analysis that measured brand influence and qualitative assessments of brand reputation monitoring. The recommendation index was included with weighting in the brand reputation analysis.

In May 2025, the top 30 rankings for boy group individual brand reputation were analyzed as follows: Big Bang’s G-Dragon, BTS’s Jin, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, BTS’s Jimin, BTS’s Jungkook, Wanna One’s Park Ji-hoon, BTS’s V, BTS’s Suga, Wanna One’s Kang Daniel, Highlight’s Yoon Dujun, BTS’s J-Hope, RIIZE’s Wonbin, Super Junior’s Heechul, ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han-bin, Highlight’s Yang Yo-seop, BTS’s RM, Wanna One’s Hwang Min-hyun, EXO’s Baekhyun, SHINee’s Key, Highlight’s Lee Gi-kwang, RIIZE’s So-hee, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, The Boyz’s Juyeon, Seventeen’s Jun, Big Bang’s Taeyang, RIIZE’s Sung-chan, EXO’s Kai, Big Bang’s Daesung, ATEEZ’s San, and SHINee’s Taemin.

Big Bang’s G-Dragon, who recorded the first place in the boy group individual brand reputation, had a participation index of 1,013,394, media index of 897,218, communication index of 1,074,548, and community index of 1,694,665, making his brand reputation index 4,679,825. Compared to the brand reputation index of 6,570,472 in April, this represents a 28.77% drop.

In second place, BTS’s Jin had a participation index of 312,622, media index of 602,414, communication index of 1,271,976, and community index of 2,232,582, making his brand reputation index 4,419,595. Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,008,681 in April, this represents a 46.89% increase.

In third place, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo had a participation index of 1,108,563, media index of 985,892, communication index of 901,085, and community index of 1,347,823, making his brand reputation index 4,343,362. Compared to the brand reputation index of 5,668,853 in April, this represents a 23.38% drop.

In fourth place, BTS’s Jimin had a participation index of 227,666, media index of 226,558, communication index of 1,690,750, and community index of 1,424,851, making his brand reputation index 3,569,824. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,723,660 in April, this represents a 24.43% drop.

In fifth place, BTS’s Jungkook had a participation index of 156,224, media index of 158,314, communication index of 1,017,231, and community index of 1,449,128, making his brand reputation index 2,780,897. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,402,770 in April, this represents a 36.84% drop.

Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute Director Koo Chang-hwan noted, “The analysis of boy group individual brand reputation for May 2025 revealed that Big Bang’s G-Dragon brand ranked first. Analyzing the boy group individual brand category, compared to 76,428,630 pieces of boy group individual brand big data from April, there was a 5.23% decrease. Looking at the detailed analysis, brand consumption dropped by 14.61%, brand issues dropped by 6.65%, brand communication dropped by 10.29%, and brand expansion increased by 1.87%.”

He also explained, “In May 2025, Big Bang’s G-Dragon brand, which ranked first in boy group individual brand reputation, showed high linkage analysis with ‘perform, sell out, release,’ while the keyword analysis highlighted ‘Tokyo Dome concert, world tour, Weverse.’ The positive ratio was analyzed at 92.08% in the positive-negative rate analysis.”
