Baek Ji-young noted that she is one of the celebrities who has failed in financial investing compared to the money she earned.
On the 17th, a new video entitled "Baek Ji-young asking 17-year-old idol members about financial investing methods (P1Harmony, stock talk)" was released on Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel.
That day, Baek Ji-young met with P1Harmony members Theo and Intak, and while talking, she asked about the methods of managing finances after settlements. Theo responded, "I started investing in stocks when I was 20. I just buy them. I watch the news every day and invest a little bit in diversification."
In contrast, Intak said, "I’m trying to do it, but this (investment) doesn’t seem to be my path. You have to keep looking into it. When I get a settlement, I save it," and added, "I deposit it in the bank and do significant investments while asking seniors here and there."
Hearing this, Baek Ji-young showed surprise at the two who started financial investing at a young age. She said, "I couldn't do that. I am a typical example of someone who has failed in financial investing compared to the money earned. All my money went down the toilet."
She continued, "Don’t spend money on alcohol. That’s just doing something that sends your money down the toilet, which I say a lot. But these days, when settlements come in, many think seriously about trying to do it on a larger scale."
Baek Ji-young further shared, "In the past, where was that? I thought I would earn for a thousand years, and I did that. When I go to events, they give me my performance fee in cash in a box or shopping bag. Then, since I have bundles of cash on hand, I spend it lavishly. Back then, there were no 50,000-won bills, so it was all in 10,000-won bills. It seems like a few million won goes into a medium-sized shopping bag. But if I spent all of that, then more comes again."
Meanwhile, Baek Ji-young married actor Jung Suk-won, who is nine years younger, in 2013 and has a daughter named Ha-im, born in 2017. Daughter Ha-im is currently attending an international school with an annual tuition of 30 million won.
