YouTuber and model Aori (real name Kim Min-young), who suffered from bruises all over her body after a dermatological procedure, has gained the upper hand in a medical lawsuit.
According to the legal community on the 16th, the 13th Civil Division of the Seoul High Court dismissed the plaintiff's claims in the appeal of the damage compensation lawsuit filed by a dermatology clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, just like in the first trial. The judgment was confirmed as the hospital did not appeal.
Previously, Aori revealed on her SNS and YouTube in 2021 that "I received a health injection at the hospital and got bruises all over my body," sharing photos of the bruises. She also raised issues concerning the hospital director's daughter assisting with hemostasis during the procedure, the hospital's passive response regarding refunds, and the discrepancy in procedure time compared to the explanation given before the procedure.
In response, the hospital claimed that "the dissemination of false information caused damages to the hospital" and filed a civil lawsuit, but the court stated regarding the 11 claims made by the hospital, "It is difficult to view this as stating false information."
After winning the case, Aori has been sharing happy moments by posting travel photos from Danang on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Aori's ex-husband, Seo Joo-won, received a damage compensation ruling of 2 million won for making derogatory remarks against the hospital regarding the incident.
Aori is a YouTuber who started as a model for an online shopping mall and is also currently running her own shopping mall as a businesswoman. She was married to Seo Joo-won, a former F1 racer and businessman who appeared in Channel A's entertainment program "Heart Signal" season 1, but they divorced. Currently, Aori continues her activities as a creator affiliated with Sandbox Network through her personal YouTube channel and SNS.
