Singer and actress IU donated a total of 200 million won on her birthday on the 16th. IU has consistently donated on meaningful days such as her debut anniversary, her birthday, and the year-end.

Her agency EDAM Entertainment announced on this day, "IU donated a total of 200 million won to four organizations under the name 'IUana' (IU + Yuana, her fandom name) for her birthday."

The donations from IU were distributed to 'Hope Stone', 'Korea Child Rights Protection Agency', 'Happy Giver', and 'Warm Companionship'. They are intended to be used for supporting the livelihoods of impoverished families and elderly individuals living alone, as well as for the expenses of youth preparing for independence to settle into society.

IU has donated 550 million won this year alone. In March, she contributed 200 million won to support victims of a large forest fire in the Gyeongsang region and to improve the treatment of firefighters. On Children's Day in May, she also donated 150 million won for children and youth.

Meanwhile, IU will release her remake album 'Flower Bookmark Three' on the 27th, her first in eight years.
