His agency, INB100, unveiled a trailer video for Baekhyun's fifth mini album, "Essence of Reverie," on official social media on the afternoon of the 15th.
The released video features several different versions of Baekhyun appearing sequentially, accompanied by tension-inducing music. The various scenes depict him resting, concentrating on music production, and wandering through a forest, generating curiosity about the video.
In particular, the scene with himself in a mirror playing chess contains the message "the only opponent I must eventually defeat is myself," symbolically representing the overall message of this album that tells the future Baekhyun envisions.
Baekhyun's fifth mini album, "Essence of Reverie," is a new release that follows "Hello, World" after approximately eight months. While the previous work was a new greeting to the world, this new release discusses Baekhun standing at the boundary between reality and ideals and is expected to serve as a turning point in redefining his identity as an artist.
Baekhyun participated in the production of all tracks for this album to add significance, and he garnered much attention by unveiling diverse teaser content even before the release.
