Actor Cha Seung-won engaged in volunteer activities for abandoned dogs with the brand he is modeling for.

On the 16th, his agency KeyEast announced that Cha Seung-won visited the Pocketmang Center, an abandoned dog shelter, along with the franchise restaurant brand he is a model for, to carry out volunteer work on the 24th of last month. This activity was not simply a one-time donation but a demonstration of the values of 'coexistence and responsibility' that the brand pursues.

Cha Seung-won donated a total of 10 million won and one ton of pet food to the Pocketmang Center on that day. In addition, all employees of the brand participated in cleaning various areas of the shelter, caring for disabled dogs, feeding milk to puppies being nursed, and assisting in outdoor walks, engaging in meticulous care activities.

Being a dog lover himself, Cha Seung-won personally administered eye drops to disabled dogs at the shelter, lovingly cradled puppies with eye difficulties, and even made pet snacks using ingredients provided by the shelter, creating a warm atmosphere on site.

In relation to this, Cha Seung-won remarked, "Just because they have disabilities doesn't make them any different. These dogs are lives just like ours and deserve to be loved. I wanted to let many people know that donations can bring hope and that adoption can be a new beginning."

The Pocketmang Center, where the volunteering took place, is a private shelter that focuses on rescuing 'neglected animals' that face challenges in adoption, such as disabilities, old age, nursing, or childbirth, unlike regular shelters. They conduct rescue activities through citizen reports from across the nation. They also operate programs for professional talent donation, including training, grooming, and fitness, to help animals rescued from poor shelter conditions live better lives, leading to changes in the shelter's perception.

Cha Seung-won is set to meet viewers in the new Netflix series 'Square.'
