On the 17th, KBS 2TV's 'The Men Who Cook' Season 2 (hereinafter referred to as 'The Men Who Cook') will depict Park Seo-jin and her brother preparing a special event for their father.
That day, Park Seo-jin will grace the opening stage as 'Prince of the Sea.' Special guests include actor Park Bo-gum and actress IU, with Kim Tae-yeon, who played the young Ae-soon in the Netflix original drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' also appearing to add freshness. Kim Tae-yeon recommends the role of Uncle Hak to Park Seo-jin as a fitting character, and Park Seo-jin immediately transforms into Uncle Hak, performing an impression that brings smiles.
Meanwhile, Park Seo-jin, who recently went down to Samcheok, is unable to hide her upset feelings over her father, who was seriously injured while working on a boat and had to visit the emergency room. Her father had previously suffered an accident where his hand got caught in a fishing net, resulting in a severed finger, and he has been in a lot of pain due to body wraps and skin graft surgery. Park Seo-jin laments, "I told him not to go out fishing like that, so I can’t help but be angry." However, despite Park Seo-jin's objections, her father goes back out to fish, further worsening the conflict between them.
While Park Seo-jin is unable to break her father's stubbornness, she secretly prepares a surprise event with her younger brother, Hyo-jeong, for Parents' Day while their parents are out fishing. The siblings cook for their father, who seems weak after the boat accident, and take on the task of creating a large carnation. However, upon returning home after going out, their father, who is in an even worse mood, shows no big reaction to their surprise event and gift of pocket money, ultimately leading to a heated argument between Park Seo-jin and her parents. Curiosity about what happened to them is rising.
Afterward, Park Seo-jin and Hyo-jeong prepare another event to lift their father's spirits. To honor their father, who loves seafood, they decide to challenge their first haenyeo experience by catching seafood themselves. The siblings, who are out at the Samcheok sea, where about 30 haenyeo are present, boldly embark on this adventure with dreams of becoming 'The Seals of Samcheok.' A 40-year veteran haenyeo teacher joins them, along with young and charming haenyeo from Samcheok, adding energy to the siblings' first haenyeo experience.
In particular, Hyo-jeong shows an ecstatic expression at the sight of the handsome haenyeo, while Park Seo-jin teases her, creating a romantic atmosphere. There is anticipation about what exciting developments await the siblings during their haenyeo experience.
