Comedian Hong Yoon-hwa is stimulating laughter muscles in households with her vibrant acting skills.
Hong Yoon-hwa is showcasing her talent as Park Dul-hee, the youngest member of the 'Witch Trio,' who is a member of the gym belonging to Do Hyun-joong (played by Lee Jun-young) in the currently airing KBS 2TV drama '24 Hour Health Club' (directed by Park Jun-soo, Choi Yeon-soo / written by Kim Ji-soo / produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS, Bon Factory, Monster Union, KeyEast). Dul-hee, with a warm image reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh, visits the gym to lose belly fat and lives with Im Seong-im (played by Park Seong-yeon) and Yoon Bu-young (played by Lee Ji-hye) like real sisters after meeting them there.
Hong Yoon-hwa made a strong impression with her wet hair as she appeared at the gym, revealing the intense first look of her character, Dul-hee. When the gym's water supply was cut off, Dul-hee complained to the manager, Hyun-joong, saying, "I couldn't even apply soap." Moreover, while she fully showcased her youngest sister charm to her older sisters, she also exhibited a cute territoriality towards the new member, Im Mi-ran (played by Jeong Eun-ji), bringing her unique wit and vitamin-like charm to inject life into the drama from the very beginning.
Meanwhile, Hong Yoon-hwa pressed the laughter button of the households with a realism that blurs the line between reality and performance. Dul-hee showcases a bold eating moment with food like sweet pumpkin and sweet potatoes, stirring up midnight cravings. In particular, after being exhausted from Hyun-joong's hellish Zumba dance class, she hurriedly ordered jjajangmyeon and raised the tension of her older sisters by commenting on the new equipment at Hyun-joong's rival, Roy's (played by Kim Kwon) gym, saying, "Even the towel smells good," which elicited laughter.
Hong Yoon-hwa enhances the vitality of the drama merely by her presence, effectively serving as a source of energy. Following the broadcast, viewers expressed thoughts such as, "The Hong Yoon-hwa character is a perfect fit. I can't distinguish between reality and performance; what's with the 2400% synchronization?", "I’m laughing thanks to Dul-hee", "Dul-hee is just like me, I can relate. The drama is so healing", and "I look forward to how the Witch Trio will make me laugh each time they appear," highlighting her noticeable presence and savvy ad-libs.
As Hong Yoon-hwa shoots off a successful signal flare for the household theater, anticipation is growing for her future performances and the joy she will bring to viewers, with expectations for her acting to have a synchronization rate of 2400%.
KBS 2TV's drama '24 Hour Health Club', where viewers can fully see Hong Yoon-hwa's captivating charm, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 p.m.
