Singer Son Tae-jin revealed his past when he almost became a member of 2PM on 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan Season 2.'

On the 16th episode of the MBN entertainment show 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan Season 2,' Son Tae-jin appeared as a guest and shared his special experience auditioning for JYP, attracting attention.

Son Tae-jin explained, 'In the mid-2000s, Korean agencies were conducting auditions on a global scale for the first time. I was a high school student who loved music at that time, and I ended up participating in the JYP audition held in Singapore at a friend's recommendation.'

He continued, 'A friend filled out the application for me, and since I was told I just had to sing without knowing much, I ended up auditioning,' evoking laughter. However, he added regarding the results, 'I didn't receive any contact.'

Jun Hyun-moo joked, 'Basically, I don't think you have the idol look,' and lightheartedly suggested, 'If it were that atmosphere (of 2PM), you would have rapped.' In response, Son Tae-jin sang a trot version of 2PM's hit song '10 out of 10,' turning the studio into a sea of laughter.

In particular, when it was revealed that Son Tae-jin is the same age as 2PM member Ok Taek-yeon, born in 1988, the youngest member Jeon Yu-jin showed a shocked expression, bringing laughter to the scene.

Meanwhile, since winning Phantom Singer Season 1, Son Tae-jin has been active in entertainment with his wide musical range and charm. Although he did not debut as a member of 2PM, Son Tae-jin's unexpected past has provided a unique element of fun, as he has built his own musical world.
