The agency of the virtual idol group PLAVE has announced a legal response to malicious comments about its members and 'sasaeng' stalking incidents.

On the 15th, the agency Blast stated on the fan community platform Weverse that "we are continuously monitoring insults and defamatory malicious comments against PLAVE members, acts of revealing artists' personal information, and stalking behavior that threatens artists' privacy (hereinafter referred to as 'sasaeng activities'), and we would like to inform you that we are proceeding with strict legal actions."

In this regard, Blast stated, "We have received a judgment acknowledging civil liability for damages after the conclusion of the criminal procedure regarding past lawsuits and will thoroughly proceed with the execution process. Additionally, we filed a lawsuit against the authors of malicious posts revealing personal information and insults against PLAVE members in March 2025, and investigations are currently underway nationwide identifying several suspects. For these cases, we plan to fully pursue civil damages claims after criminal penalties, applying a zero-tolerance principle."

The agency particularly stated regarding the so-called 'sasaeng' stalking activities that "we have secured evidence materials such as CCTV and vehicle black boxes to proceed with criminal complaints based on the law on the punishment of stalking crimes. We plan to demand severe punishment from law enforcement for those who repeatedly commit stalking activities, possibly leading to maximum imprisonment. Actions that infringe on members' travel routes or private information, access to their accommodations or vehicles, and unauthorized photography are never justifiable for any reason," it emphasized.

PLAVE is a five-member virtual idol group that debuted in 2023. It has recently gained significant popularity domestically and is showing growth.

The following is the full official statement from PLAVE.

Regarding the past lawsuits, we have received a judgment recognizing civil liability for damages after the conclusion of the criminal procedure and plan to thoroughly proceed with the execution process. Furthermore, we filed lawsuits in March 2025 against those who made malicious posts revealing personal information and insults against PLAVE members, and investigations are currently underway nationwide identifying several suspects. For these cases, the agency plans to fully pursue civil damages claims after criminal penalties while applying a zero-tolerance principle.

Meanwhile, the agency has recently confirmed ongoing stalking activities by some fans, such as following or attempting to approach the members. The agency has secured evidence materials such as CCTV and vehicle black boxes to proceed with criminal complaints based on the law on the punishment of stalking crimes, and plans to demand severe punishments, possibly leading to maximum imprisonment, for those who repeatedly commit stalking activities.

Actions that infringe on members' travel routes or private information, access to their accommodations or vehicles, and unauthorized photography cannot be justified for any reason. We ask that fans endeavor to foster a healthy fan culture.
