'Devil's Plan 2' Jung Hyun-kyu personally apologized for the inappropriate remarks made during the program.
On the 16th, Jung Hyun-kyu appeared on the YouTube channel 'Theo' to share behind-the-scenes insights during a review video for episodes 5 to 9 of Netflix's 'Devil's Plan 2.'
That day, Jung Hyun-kyu watched the iconic scene from episode 8, asking Choi Hyun-jun, 'I'm sorry.'
This was a scene where Jung Hyun-kyu, after forming an alliance with Choi Hyun-jun and playing the game, asked, 'Do you know arithmetic?' in a sarcastic tone because Choi Hyun-jun wasn't following his lead. While the two had formed an alliance, Choi Hyun-jun made a strange move, hinting at betrayal, which left Jung Hyun-kyu perplexed. However, viewers reacted negatively to Jung Hyun-kyu's continued tone.
In response, Jung Hyun-kyu explained, 'I asked if you didn’t know arithmetic because I was trying to give you all the pieces,' to which Gyu-hyun pointed out, 'To anyone listening, it just sounds like you're attacking.' Jung Hyun-kyu clarified, 'No! I’ll give you all the pieces I get from coming in first. You can take them,' and Gyu-hyun joked, 'You're asking someone from the KAIST Department of Mathematical Sciences if they know arithmetic.'
Jung Hyun-kyu also stated, 'I might not remember how much I promised, but I meant I would give you more,' while Choi Hyun-jun recalled, 'At that time, I just felt irritated and wanted to kill you.' Jung Hyun-kyu admitted, 'I could see why that would be unlucky,' and Gyu-hyun noted that the two are now 'friends who drink together and hold hands.'
Jung Hyun-kyu also spoke about the incident on 'Hyeols Club,' where he revealed, 'I reflected a lot while watching. Can there be such an unfortunate friend? That was me.'
Meanwhile, Netflix's 'Devil's Plan: Death Room' is a brain survival game where players from various professions stay together for seven days to compete for the title of the top brain, with the finale set to be released on the 20th.
