Actor Lee Jae-wook is once again embarking on a journey to redefine his 'life character' through 'Dear Hongrang.'

The Netflix series 'Dear Hongrang' (written by Kim Jin-ah, directed by Kim Hong-sun), set to be released today (16th), tells the story of Hongrang, the son of Joseon's greatest merchant, who returns after 12 years with amnesia, while only his half-sister, Jae-i, suspects his true identity, depicting the unknown emotions blossoming between them within a mysterious melodramatic historical drama.

In the drama, Lee Jae-wook portrays Hongrang, the lost son of 'Min-sang-dan,' who returns with a secret and has lost all memories before his disappearance. Although he resembles Hongrang in appearance, speech, actions, and habits, he gradually begins to feel strange emotions amidst the tense relationship with Jae-i (played by Jo Bo-ah), who is the only one that believes he is a fake.

Lee Jae-wook will express the anxiety, confusion, and emotional turmoil experienced by Hongrang with delicate acting, elevating the tension of the narrative. Additionally, intense action is expected to be added to maximize immersion.

Lee Jae-wook, who debuted with the drama 'Memories of the Alhambra,' gained public recognition through 'Search: WWW' and has received acclaim for his multi-dimensional portrayal of characters in 'Extraordinary You,' 'The Uncanny Encounter,' and 'The Uncanny Encounter: Light and Shadow.'

Moreover, he demonstrated his acting prowess as a reliable actor with detailed emotional performances and daring action in 'Lee Jae, Soon to Die' and captivated audiences with a different charm in 'Royal Loader.'

Lee Jae-wook boasts a broad acting spectrum, crossing various genres and characters. Expectations are rising for the new portrayal of the Hongrang character in 'Dear Hongrang.'

The Netflix series 'Dear Hongrang' will be released exclusively on Netflix at 4 p.m. on the 16th.
