In a first for the domestic market, the variety program broadcasted on TV CHOSUN, 'Our Baby Is Born,' reveals the real birth scene of triplets that is more dramatic than a medical drama.
Tonight at 10 p.m., TV CHOSUN will air the unprecedented childbirth variety program 'Our Baby Is Born' (directed by Lee Seung-hoon and Kim Joon/written by Jang Joo-yeon), featuring a mother of triplets who is making a heartfelt effort to nurture her children. 'Soonpoong Duo' Park Soo-hong and Yang Se-hyung are astonished by the unusual belly size of the mother, who seems to be far along in her pregnancy. However, the triplets, who have just surpassed 31 weeks, weigh around 1 kg each, with the smallest second twin weighing only 900 grams. Moreover, starting from the 26th week of pregnancy, the mother has experienced severe uterine contraction symptoms, making it a situation where she could give birth at any time. Nevertheless, the mother is fighting valiantly in the intensive care unit, receiving uterine contraction suppressants, all in hopes of allowing her babies to grow a little more inside her womb.
Having just surpassed 32 weeks, there is no longer a choice to delay the birth. Ultimately, the date for the cesarean section of the triplets was set. Ahead of the surgery, the triplets' father expressed his anxiety, saying, "I'm worried my wife might not come out of the operating room... I'm concerned the babies might not be able to breathe." Amidst this, the medical staff noted, "Postpartum hemorrhage is the most concerning situation. However, everyone is well prepared," stating that a total of 16 medical professionals across obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and anesthesiology are fully prepared. In the broadcast, the intense preparations of the medical staff during a pre-meeting regarding the cesarean section of the triplets will also be unveiled, displaying a scene just as urgent as the 'Resident Playbook' starring Go Yoon-jung and Cynthia.
The husband, waiting for the birth of the triplets with his wife in the operating room, expressed hope, saying, "I just hope my wife and the three babies come out (of the operating room) well," displaying a mix of excitement and tension. Park Soo-hong, who has experience giving birth to his daughter Jae-i via cesarean section, remarked, "It feels like a drama," becoming even more engaged. However, during the wife’s surgery, he received an emergency call to pediatrics. When he returned to the front of the operating room, he conveyed to Park Soo-hong and Yang Se-hyung, "I think there’s a thought of ‘Should I not say anything’ since my wife is struggling…" raising curiosity about what might be happening.
