Comedian Lee Kyung-sil's APT. has finally been put up for auction.

According to GGAuction, a real estate auction and public sale specialist, the APT. owned by Lee Kyung-sil, located in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, will go up for auction at the Seoul Western District Court on the 27th. The APT. is well-known as a luxurious residence with a view of the Han River, covering a total area of 293 square meters (about 89 pyeong).

Lee Kyung-sil is reported to have purchased this APT. for 1.4 billion won in 2007. However, it has recently come to auction due to debt issues.

According to the register of deeds, a loan of up to 1.8 billion won has been secured in the name of person A on the APT., and person A applied for a voluntary auction in court last September, claiming about 1.333 billion won. It has been reported that this loan has since been transferred to a lending company. The starting bid for this auction has been set at 2.55 billion won.

Lee Kyung-sil, who debuted in 1987 after winning the gold prize at the 1st MBC TV Gag Contest, has established herself as a top comedian through works such as "When You Smile, Happiness Comes" and won the grand prize in the comedy sector at the 1994 MBC Broadcasting Awards.

Recently, she has been appearing on TV CHOSUN's entertainment program "Joseon's Love Man" with her son Son Bo-seung. Son Bo-seung, who announced he was expecting a child before marriage at the age of 23 in 2021, welcomed a son the following year. Lee Kyung-sil confessed on the show about a one-year estrangement from her son, revealing they recently overcame their conflicts and reconciled. Son Bo-seung drew attention by declaring his independence and repaying 20 million won to his mother, Lee Kyung-sil.

Meanwhile, as many are paying attention to Lee Kyung-sil's financial situation, there is curiosity about how the results of this auction will affect her in the future.
