Fifteen medical staff members were on standby for the birth of triplets.

A couple expecting triplets in Daegu was featured on TV Chosun's 'Our Baby Has Arrived' (abbreviated as 'Ouriagi'), which aired on the 16th.

The couple, who has a first daughter, has been hospitalized since the 26th week for the birth of the triplets. The mother, currently in her 31st week, explained, "They say triplets are usually born around the 34th to 35th week. The goal is to hold out for about three weeks," and added, "They say one day out of a mother’s womb is like a week in here."

Two of the triplets are identical twins, and one is fraternal. Unlike the third, who uses the baby room alone, the second, who shares the baby room with the first, is somewhat smaller. The mother has been trying to delay the delivery for as long as possible.

On the day of the triplet birth, Park Soo-hong and Yang Se-hyung, who visited the couple again, were concerned about the mother. The mother said, "We had to hold a meeting to secure three incubators. We need three places to lay down," and Park Soo-hong added, "They say if there are no openings, the hospital can be split."

At the time of delivery, the children's weights were 1,500g for the first, approximately 1,600g for the third, and the smallest, the second, was around 1,200g, which is slightly bigger than during the last ultrasound.

The attending physician noted before the birth, "The biggest concern is postpartum bleeding after delivering the baby. It could be a situation where controlling the bleeding is not easy. In that case, we need to find methods to control the bleeding," and added, "We are also preparing, and the anesthesiology department and each department are ready as well. Around 15 people will be involved in the surgery and taking care of the babies."
