Paik Jong-won, CEO of Theborn Korea, is preparing to sue the side of director Kim Jae-hwan of 'Studio Ojaena,' who raised suspicions of 'broadcast abuse,' for defamation due to the spreading of false facts.
On the 16th, it was revealed via an exclusive report by OSEN that Paik Jong-won and Theborn Korea are preparing a lawsuit for defamation due to the dissemination of false facts against the YouTube channel 'Studio Ojaena' and the side of director Kim Jae-hwan.
Director Kim Jae-hwan, who received praise for 'True Cooking Show,' has recently continued to criticize Paik Jong-won and Theborn Korea through the YouTube channel 'Studio Ojaena.' In particular, he drew attention by emphasizing the protection and coexistence of franchise brand owners under Theborn Korea amidst various controversies.
However, even after Paik Jong-won issued an apology and Theborn Korea disclosed improvement measures, director Kim Jae-hwan's critical videos continued. He especially raised strong concerns about suspicions of 'broadcast abuse' regarding Paik Jong-won's past broadcasting activities, claiming that Paik Jong-won used his connections with the producer to block a professor's appearance on a show he did not even participate in, or to prevent singer Kim Ho-joong from appearing on SBS.
In relation to this, Paik Jong-won strongly denied by saying to this publication, "When a producer asks if 'this guest fits well with the program,' I could respond with 'I don't know.' To say that I am blocking appearances is simply something that cannot happen, even if the head of the broadcasting station came in."
Above all, Theborn Korea emphasized that director Kim Jae-hwan was not recording on his cell phone during a one-on-one interview with Paik Jong-won, yet he still released parts of about four hours of recorded material on YouTube, leading them to prepare a response for the dissemination of false facts.
However, director Kim Jae-hwan showed a de facto 'counterattack' response after the preparation stage of the lawsuit by Theborn Korea was disclosed through 'Ojaena,' saying it was "what he wanted." In this regard, a spokesperson for Theborn Korea stated to OSEN, "We are currently reviewing related matters."
