Actor Kim Ba-da has hinted at a transformation in acting through the Netflix series "Dear Hongrang."

Today (16th), the agency Big Picture Entertainment stated, "Actor Kim Ba-da will appear as the chief in the Netflix series 'Dear Hongrang.'"

The series released today, "Dear Hongrang" (directed by Kim Hong-seon, written by Kim Jin-ah, produced by Ace Maker), depicts the mysterious melodrama of the son of the largest merchant of Joseon, 'Hongrang,' who returns after 12 years with no memory, while only his half-sister 'Jae-i' suspects his true identity and the emotions that blossom between them.

In "Dear Hongrang," Kim Ba-da is expected to exert a strong presence as the chief of the Min-sang gang's swordsmanship team. The chief is a secretive figure who carries out the gang's dark deeds with a cold personality and exceptional swordsmanship skills. Expectations are high for how Kim Ba-da, who has shown a fresh approach to characters in each of his works, will perform in "Dear Hongrang."

Kim Ba-da, who debuted in the 2015 play "A Mysterious Incident That Happened to a Dog at Midnight," has steadily built his filmography with dramas such as "My Heart Beats," "Love According to Law," "Anarakumara," "Private Life," "Chief Intern," and "Speak as You See," as well as showcasing a diverse acting spectrum through plays like "Tae-il," "Pride: The 10th Performing Arts Projects," "Jellyfish," "Boys in the Band," and "The Autumn Breeze Begins to Blow Over the Fence."

Meanwhile, the Netflix series "Dear Hongrang," featuring Kim Ba-da, was fully released today (16th) at 4 p.m.
