Member Jeong Jae-yoon of the R&B group Solid, which represented the 1990s, shared his feelings about directly participating in the remake project.

The second project of the remake brand HIGHKOLOR features the title track "You Are My First and Last" from Solid's third studio album. Released in 1996, this song has been referred to as a "turning point in domestic R&B ballads," and it is reborn after about 30 years with the voice of Brown Eyed Soul's Young-jun.

Notably, the original songwriter Jeong Jae-yoon took charge of this remake's arrangement, emphasizing that a genuine emotional restoration work has been conducted.

Jeong Jae-yoon said about his participation, "This song is Solid's first R&B rock ballad, and it holds special significance for me," adding, "It's always an exciting experience to have another artist cover this song and to be part of that work."

He noted that in this remake, he focused primarily on "maintaining the original arrangement." He stated, "I wanted to convey the feelings of that time to the generation that is hearing the song for the first time. Fortunately, I was able to find the session files of the original song from 30 years ago, and while all instruments were newly recorded with modern sounds, I aimed to keep the original's emotions intact."

Regarding Young-jun's version, he remarked, "It was truly fresh. The feelings of the past and present blended beautifully," expressing that it felt as though "the emotions of two eras naturally met within one song." He added, "For those who remember this song, you will be able to experience it again with a more modern sensibility through this remake," emphasizing, "I am also glad and excited to hear this song again after a long time."

Jeong Jae-yoon is currently based in California, USA, and is actively working between Asia and the United States. Having collaborated with various artists from regions including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, he reunited with fans through the 2018 Solid reunion album and concert activities.

The song "You Are My First and Last" (original: Solid), re-sung by Young-jun, will be released on the 18th at 6 p.m. through all online music platforms.
