Singer and actor Lim Chang-jung, 51, sold out his concert in Seoul. He had faced negative public opinion due to allegations of being one of the stock price manipulation forces and failing to return approximately 1.1 billion won in guarantees. He is currently cleared of both allegations.
According to his agency, Jayji Star, Lim Chang-jung's 30th anniversary celebration concert, titled 'The Cheesy Concert,' scheduled for the 31st in Seoul, has sold out. As a result, an additional concert has been confirmed for June 1.
Lim Chang-jung has been conducting a nationwide tour concert titled '2025 Lim Chang-jung 30th Anniversary - The Cheesy Concert,' which started in Daegu on the 3rd. He recorded a full house from the first performance. Lim Chang-jung is scheduled to meet fans in Busan on the 24th, in Seoul on the 31st and June 1, and in Goyang on June 28.
Earlier, in 2023, Lim Chang-jung was restricted in all activities due to his involvement in a stock manipulation incident. However, the following year, he received a 'no charge' non-prosecution disposition from the prosecution.
He also had conflicts with Jayji Star, the concert planning company, over the issue of non-returned guarantees. At that time, Jayji Star reported that losses of over 1.1 billion won related to concert and remake album production had occurred, but recently they resolved the misunderstanding with Lim Chang-jung and signed an exclusive contract.
Lim Chang-jung debuted as an actor in 1990. He made his debut as a singer with the release of his first regular album in 1995. Since then, he has been active in various fields including drama, film, and music.
