BTS Jin has returned to 'Handsome Guys'.
On the 15th, the tvN show 'Handsome Guys' featured guests Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Seung-ho, and Oh Sang-wook, along with daily guest BTS Jin, embarking on a quest for lunch menu recommendations (점메추) and dinner menu recommendations (저메추) in the Hannam-dong area of Seoul.
Since it was the first broadcast of 'Handsome Guys' with Jin, the 'sixth member’ who shares the program's history, the atmosphere began with excitement.
Cha Tae-hyun could not hide his excitement, saying, “When Jin comes, it feels like we have the real complete set,” while Lee Yi-kyung added, “At this point, he should be considered a fixed member,” amusing everyone as he eyed a potential recruitment. Eventually, upon seeing Jin, who arrived perfectly dressed in a work concept OOTD (outfit of the day), the members burst into laughter, cheering.
Jin said, "I’m doing promotions for a few albums, and I asked to prioritize 'Handsome Guys.' Didn’t we participate from the first episode?" He declared it his 'favorite variety show' while enjoying a comfortable atmosphere, adding, "Isn’t it true that I live in Hannam-dong? I would say it’s quiet, and there are many good restaurants," recommending a 'cold noodle restaurant' that caught attention.
Afterward, searching for a 'grilled shellfish' restaurant for dinner, Lee Yi-kyung remarked to Jin, "Seeing you like this, it’s as if you’ve always been one of the members." Jin also expressed, "It feels like my team," showing a special affection, while Lee Yi-kyung inquired, "Do you have any friends in BTS that you think would suit this program?"
In response, Jin said, "If it’s like this, Jungkook would fit the best. He really eats well. V fits the vibe. We roast each other, and even if we say harsh things, it doesn’t hurt him."
Particularly, Oh Sang-wook took the initiative to recruit Jungkook and V. Born in 1996, Oh Sang-wook jokingly stated, “As long as they are younger than me, they can join anytime,” displaying a cute bravado. Hearing this, Jin warned, “The fans are scary. I also can’t speak carelessly to Jungkook,” then quickly shifted his demeanor, suggesting, “Should we do a video message? We can follow wherever you go outside the country. Just let us know, and we can go,” bowing his head humbly, which elicited laughter.
The second dinner recommendation was a 'aged Korean beef' restaurant. While savoring various cuts deliciously, the total bill came to 741,000 won. In shock at the surprising cost, Jin exclaimed, "If I pay this, I’ll have to starve tomorrow," while Shin Seung-ho chimed in, "Hyung, I’m still starving. I eat ramen every day," provoking laughter.
With tension in the air, the quiz time for deciding who would pay the bill commenced. When asked the question, "What represents Korea? Kimchi, squid, and 'this'?" Jin guessed, "It seems to be a BTS merchandise item. I think it’s an album," and indeed, the answer was 'album.' In the subsequent individual quiz, upon hearing the question, "During King Taejong's time, those who reported people who ate cattle during the Ugeumryeong period were rewarded," Jin commented, "It seems they gave property to the person who reported," and managed to answer correctly, surprising everyone.
At the end of the intense quiz time, Kim Dong-hyun was in charge of the final calculation. He commented, "It seems like I contributed a lot," while also saying, "I ate so well today," creating a warm atmosphere.
