The girl group 'USPEER' presented by WM Entertainment after 10 years met with Atstyle for the June issue.
After completing the photoshoot with Atstyle, USPEER shared their honest thoughts about their debut in a follow-up interview. Having gone through their trainee period and now coming together as a team, the members were filled with excitement and determination as they prepared for their first stage.
Daon said, "I still can’t believe it," adding, "I’m working harder in preparation for the debut." Seoyoo noted, "Having gone through the trainee period and now forming a team as we approach debut, I’m really excited," and added, "Realizing that there isn’t much time left, I’m practicing even more fervently." Yewon expressed, "I feel pressure wanting to show a good side to the fans, but I’m fighting through with my members, wanting to do well together," revealing her expectations towards the debut.
The team name USPEER combines 'US' and 'SPEER' (to question), meaning "we will understand the essence of the world we are together in and create a better future." Staying true to their name with a directional message, they began communicating and familiarizing themselves with fans through the reality show 'USPEER Run Up!' even before their debut.
Sian said, "I knew it was a job that received a lot of love, but now that I’m actually getting attention and support, I feel I need to work harder," adding, "I’m keeping a close eye on the comments, trying to show a better side of myself." Yewon shared, "Every time I see supportive comments, it gives me great strength," and mentioned, "Seeing the members grow with each episode has been a grateful experience."
They also hinted at their debut album. Yewon introduced it as "an ‘energetic’ album" and Daon described it as "an album that’s like a declaration that USPEER is stepping out into the world," stating, "It contains a sense of speed and a sporty vibe."
The members are solidifying their individual aspirations. Yewon expressed, "From debut day forward, I believe we become true professionals," and said, "I want USPEER to be a group that brings energy to the fans and shows our teamwork." In response to a question about their role model, Sian mentioned, "Our sunbaenim Oh My Girl from the same company," stating, "I want to follow the footsteps of our sunbaenim who always show amazing performances."
Lastly, Loa said, "I am nothing but grateful for all the people who have supported USPEER even before our debut," adding, "I will prepare harder to show a wonderful stage to meet those expectations."
Meanwhile, more photos and interviews of USPEER can be found in the June issue of Atstyle.
