Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment and key producer and visionary leader of A2O Entertainment, has resumed his activities by holding a documentary screening that highlights his life and cultural influence. The documentary "Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop" is set to be released simultaneously worldwide on the global online streaming platform Amazon Prime on the 13th (local time).
Before the official release, Lee Soo Man held a premiere and after-party screening of the documentary on the 12th at Nuyhouse Hollywood in Hollywood, California. Approximately 300 industry professionals from the Hollywood music and film sectors, including the documentary's subject Lee Soo Man, actors, singers, MCs, models, and influencers attended the event.
About 30 lyricists, including Dem Jointz, Ferras, Stereo Types, and Tone Stith, who have maintained a close relationship with Lee Soo Man, also attended the event. In particular, Super Junior member Choi Siwon and SHINee member Taemin, whom Lee Soo Man produced, appeared on the red carpet holding Lee Soo Man's hand. Following them, Girls’ Generation members Tiffany, Hyoyeon, and Sunny, as well as A2O MAY members, also walked the red carpet.
On that day, Lee Soo Man expressed gratitude to his artists, saying, "I want to thank my singers, who have made all of this happen, who are like family rather than mere students." He added, "If it weren't for their talent and if they hadn't chosen me, I wouldn't be here today."
He also thanked producers Kenji and Yoo Young Jin, saying, "Thank you for creating the music I wanted for so long by my side." He further expressed gratitude to the documentary staff, saying, "Thanks to Director Ting Poo for listening to, understanding, studying, and analyzing my story with great time and patience, as well as to Amazon Prime Video and MGM Studios."
The girl group A2O MAY, which Lee Soo Man recently produced, expressed, "We are really happy and honored to be part of a special night celebrating the new documentary with Lee Soo Man. Thank you, Lee Soo Man." They performed stages for "Under My Skin" and "BOSS."
